ABOUT US

OUR VISION

To support our veterans through Christ’s love and to see lives changed throughout our community and the world.

WHAT WE DO

We create a support network connecting veterans with other veterans and use the various skills in the network to plan and carry out missions in our community.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that there is nothing facing veterans - PTSD or other issues - that cannot be helped through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

WHAT WE LIVE BY

We believe that the whole Bible is a guide for life, but these are some scriptures that sum up the heart of EveryVet's:

Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. - John 15:13

Every individual who enlists in military service enters into a contract, understanding that they may be called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice for their comrades and their nation. This commitment is not without consequence, as many have paid the ultimate price, while others bear the physical and mental scars of their service. The selfless example set by Jesus Christ, who sacrificed himself for the salvation of the world, serves as a guiding principle for EveryVet's mission. Our organization aims to emulate this spirit of sacrifice by dedicating ourselves to supporting our fellow serving and ex-serving brothers and sisters during their darkest moments of need.

Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. - Matthew 11:28

The invitation extended by Christ offers the promise of peace with God, resulting in an inner tranquility that transcends external circumstances. While this divine peace does not guarantee the instant resolution of life's challenges, it ensures that we are never alone in our trials. Amidst the chaos that may surround us, we can maintain an unwavering peace in our hearts, a serenity that defies comprehension.

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. - Romans 8:37

Upon embracing God's invitation to establish a personal relationship with Him, we are empowered to lead victorious lives. This newfound connection enables us to confront any challenge, be it physical, mental, or spiritual, with unwavering faith and resilience, drawing strength and power from our divine source.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. - Hebrews 10:24

As a community of military veterans, we are not seeking sympathy; instead, we aim to leverage the skills and perseverance nurtured during our service to support those who genuinely require assistance. Our motivation is firmly grounded in the profound love that God has put in our hearts.

You yourselves know that these hands ministered to my own needs and to the men who were with me. “In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said,

‘It is more blessed to give than to receive. - Acts 20:34-35

Once we have the selfless kind of love that Jesus taught, where we put God first and serve others around us, even before our own needs, we are able to realise that we ourselves are also helped and blessed in return.

Underpinning all of this is the verse that has been the key for Everyman's from the beginning:

Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily. - Colossians 1:28-29

At the core of what we stand for is a belief that the gospel (or good news), as revealed in the Bible, is the power of God unto salvation. Unashamed of this, we preach that a relationship with God, through Jesus Christ, is the only way to have assurance of eternal life when we all will inevitably stand before God at the end of our mortal life. Salvation comes as a free gift from God through obeying the commandments given by Jesus himself - 'Repent and believe'. To repent means to turn away from a life of sin, and self-seeking. To believe means to trust in Jesus' finished work on the cross alone and not any good works that we can do. When we do this we receive the promise of God's Spirit in us, what Jesus referred to as being 'born again'. This begins a life of being a disciple of Jesus, where we seek to become more like him in all aspects and share this good news with the people of the world around us.
